Netball Now – Terms & Conditions

1. League Participation
1.1) All players must be at least 16 years old to participate.
1.2) Players agree to adhere to the rules and guidelines set forth by Netball Now.
1.3) Teams are expected to arrive at the venue at least 10 minutes before the scheduled match time.
1.4) Matches will commence promptly; warm-ups and preparations should be completed beforehand.

2. Team Composition & Guest Players
2.1) A minimum of 5 players is required for a match to proceed.
2.2) Guest players are permitted to fill in for absent team members but must:

2.4) Not be used as substitutes beyond the starting seven.
2.5) Be approved at the umpire’s discretion.
2.6) If a guest player takes part in more than one match (for any team), they must register as a member and set up a monthly membership to continue playing.
2.7) Guest players are not covered by member benefits (e.g. frozen payments, refunds, or priority places).
2.8) Guest players must comply with all league rules and T&Cs while participating.

3. Membership and Fees
3.1) Netball Now operates on a membership basis, with Standard and Premium options.
3.2) A £10 sign-up fee is required per player and covers their first game with us.
3.3) Following this, all players must set up a monthly membership to continue playing.
3.4) Membership fees cover match participation, umpire costs, and equipment usage.
3.5) Memberships are rolling monthly, and to cancel, players must provide at least one full paying month's notice.
3.6) No refunds will be issued for cancellations made without the required notice.
3.7) Payment & Non-Payment
Membership fees must be paid in full and on time via the agreed payment method.
3.8) If a membership payment fails, players will be contacted to resolve the issue.
3.9) Membership and participation will be suspended until payment is received in full.
3.10) Continued non-payment may result in removal from the league and legal action.

4. League Development & Training Sessions
4.1) Netball Now reserves the right to organise training sessions or small-sided games when full team numbers cannot be achieved (e.g. during early stages of league growth or holidays).
These sessions are included within your membership, and no refunds will be issued should players choose not to attend.

5. Match Cancellations and Postponements
5.1) In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, venue issues), matches may be postponed.
If four or more matches are postponed within a four-month period, members may be eligible for a partial refund or credit.
5.2) Requests must be submitted within two weeks of the fourth postponed match.
5.3) Prolonged Disruption (Force Majeure)
In cases of prolonged disruption (e.g. severe weather, venue closure, pandemic restrictions), Netball Now reserves the right to pause or adapt the league schedule.
5.4) Memberships will remain active, and where possible, sessions will be rescheduled.

6. Health, Safety & Injuries
6.1) Participants acknowledge that netball is a physical sport and accept the associated risks.
6.2) Players must ensure they are fit to play and notify organisers of any medical conditions.
6.3) Appropriate attire is required, including short nails, suitable footwear, and the removal or secure taping of jewellery.
6.4) Netball Now cannot be held liable for injuries sustained during matches, warm-ups, or training sessions. Players are strongly encouraged to hold personal accident/injury insurance.
6.5) Injury & Freezing Memberships
If a player sustains an injury that prevents participation, this must be reported to Netball Now in writing (via email or message) as soon as possible.
6.6) Memberships may only be frozen due to a verified injury that prevents play for a minimum of two consecutive weeks.
6.7) Players are entitled to freeze their membership once per calendar year (January–December) for a maximum of 2 consecutive months. This allowance cannot be split into separate periods.
6.8) A freeze request must be submitted in writing, including a brief explanation of the injury. Proof (e.g. GP/physio note) may be requested.
6.9) The freeze will start from the next payment date. Payments already taken will not be refunded but the membership will remain active until the freeze begins.
6.10)After the 2-month allowance has been used, the membership must either continue as normal or be cancelled in line with the one-month notice policy.
6.11) Injuries shorter than 2 weeks do not qualify for a freeze. Players are welcome to attend games as spectators and may return to play once recovered.

7. Conduct and Discipline
7.1)Players are expected to uphold good sportsmanship and respect teammates, opponents, and umpires.
7.2)Unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the league.
7.3)The umpire’s decision is final and must be respected.
7.4)Any threatening, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour towards staff, umpires, or players will result in immediate removal from the league without refund.

8. Equipment and Attire
8.1)Netball Now provides bibs and match balls.
8.2)Teams are responsible for the care and return of all equipment.
8.3)Lost or damaged items may incur a replacement fee.

9. Communication
9.1)Official communication will be conducted via email or designated platforms (e.g. WhatsApp groups).
Players are responsible for staying updated on fixtures, league announcements, and changes.

10. Liability
10.1) Netball Now is not liable for any personal injury or lost property during games.
10.2) Players are encouraged to carry personal insurance if required.

11. Photography & Social Media
11.1) By participating in Netball Now leagues, players consent to the use of photos and videos taken during matches, events, and sessions for use on Netball Now’s social media platforms, website, and marketing materials.
I11.2) f a player prefers not to be included in photography or video content, they must notify the organiser in advance.

12. Data Protection (GDPR)
12.1)Netball Now collects and stores member data in line with GDPR regulations.
12.2) Personal information will only be used for league administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

13. Refund Policy
Membership fees are non-refundable once paid, except in cases where Netball Now is unable to deliver services for a full calendar month.

14. Amendments
Netball Now reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Members will be informed of any significant changes in advance.
